If you are a programmer, when did you start your journey into the void and what was your motivation for it?

Well when I was 4, me and my dad used to build PCs for people. From there, I managed to get my own and started tinkering with the OS and working out how it worked (and breaking it a lot).

From then, I eventually got access to the internet when I was around 7-8 and was fascinated by websites and wanted to know how they worked. So a lot of inspect element and learning HTML was where I originally got into programming and web design.

I then saw sites like YouTube and Facebook and was sure they were using something else to make the pages since manually updating stuff as people submitted it sounded like a lot of work, so I did some researching into backend stuff like PHP and now I'm a PHP dev!

As a bit of a site quest, this is how I was introduced to some of the languages I know today:

Lua: Computer Craft
NodeJS: IRC bot channels
Batch: Trolling at school
VBS: Trolling at school but on another level
