what is the best way to eat chips/fries? what condiment/stuff do you like on them?
I like to sink them in ketchup, or get special pizza fries.
I used to review fast food joints on a blog, and even tried some with friends when I still had some IRL friends. One important criteria for the fries was whether we liked eating them plain, with nothing else. If we need any condiment, then either the fries are too bland or unpleasant, and I know from experience that fries can definitely be very tasty on their own. But if I do use something with the fries, it will be barbecue sauce, or curry sauce (not just curry powder), or salt. Vinegar is also okay for fries prepared the Belgian way, with two baths with oils at slightly different temperatures, making them quite soggy.
Chips I actually prefer nothing with. Fries though I'll have on their own, with ketchup, or with spicy seasoning!
I just eat them with ketchup. Well, actually, I prefer sriracha ketchup. And there was that one time I used some ketchup that was on the table at a McDonald's or whatever on my fries and said, "wow, that ketchup is really good!", and it turned out my sister had mixed it with salt. (I know, there's already salt in ketchup. She made it saltier.) And cocktail sauce is good on fries, too. Last night my mom and I were at IHOP eating some fries, and all that was available was cocktail sauce, so I used that, and it was pretty good. Honey mustard isn't bad on fries either.
