Do you have a favorite D&D campaign setting?

Not really, as long as it's a setting that allows for a wide range of character creation freedom. As an autistic person who needs the security of being able to play a familiar character, I know how bad it is to be part of a table where it has been deliberately decided to play an extremely low fantasy campaign precisely to avoid facing the narrative complexity that the existence of characters like mine gives to the story. That's why as a Game Master, as long as you don't go into invincible god mode, I never have problems with anyone's characters. I don't care if I have to justify the existence of X race or X powers or whatever. I want everyone to feel comfortable with who they are in the game.
