Owashii: It's fine! I'm happy to answer your questions but I will say I'm not exactly a "role model" for wearing a collar.

I haven't worn it in at least two years, honestly. I bought a straight-up dog collar shortly before my now-husband visited for the first time in early March of 2020, and he bought me my first tag and gave it to me during that visit. It's bone-shaped and has my name on the front and on the back it says "I will love you forever. -Steve." When Artemis and Tabitha emerged, he bought tags for them too of the same format: name on one side, "I love you" on the other. You can see the backs of our tags on our Mastodon profile banners.

I haven't worn it in public and given current events I am definitely /not/ going to wear it in public any time soon. I was still living with my parents when I first got it and I forgot to take it off while talking to my mother once. She was concerned up until I explained that it was /not/ an auto-erotic asphyxiation thing, at which point she was like "okay you do you then!" and then likely forgot about it shortly afterwards since it turned out to not be a big deal for her.
